Romans 21:5 "And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful"
So based on the Revelation 21:5 where the promise that Christ will return and make "all things new" I began All Things New. The primary purpose and mission of this shop is to bring beauty out of the old.
With the new year beginning I am finally taking this personal motto "All Things New" and applying it to a long term goal and dream of mine. To begin writing again. My daughter this week has been entertaining my husband and I constantly with her wild imagination and stories she makes up out of thin air! This is something I have fond memories of doing as a child. I would write story after story, creating books and series, and primarily told them to my little sister through puppet shows when we were SUPPOSED to be sleeping. (sorry mom, but we had the perfect bunk beds for me to hang beanie babies with yarn to use as puppets!!!) I stopped late in high school and have decided to revisit my joy of writing by doing this blog.
"All Things New", the blog, will be based on this theme. I truly was blessed this last year and I believe it was the best in my marriage and everything else for that matter. I want to continue that and challenge myself to make everything in my life new. My life verse is this
Philippians 3:13-14
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
I want to forget the failures, disappointments, expectations, and standards I put on myself and allow myself to make all things new in my journey to a deeper faith and knowledge of my Savior. I want to continue falling deeper in love with Him and enjoy His presence in my life more than I do now. I want to make my marriage even stronger than it already is by building on our companionship and friendship, allowing us to grow into a deeper bond. I want to challenge myself to embrace my incredible honor to be a mommy and raise my daughters with Christ as their center. I want my relationship with them to be the highest priority of my life. I want to grow my business and continue to expand my abilities with new ideas and opportunities. More than anything I want to press on to make "ALL of these THINGS NEW, as I strain ahead toward the prize which is a deeper relationship with Christ.
So if you enjoy DIY stories, motherhood mishaps, hubby jokes, and girly giggles then please enjoy and follow me as I begin this journey of writing. I make no commitment to every day, or every week, or even every month (though I seriously hope I can at least do one a month but no judgements right) This should be a fun, sometimes emotional, and hopefully inspiring journey. Looking forward to seeing what new things God brings into my life this year!!!
P.S- The next post will be about the complete makeover I have been doing of half of my master bath this week! (Complete with all silly mistakes, snotty noses, and warm hugs from my littles)
Inspired by Him,
Kat
